The event is an opportunity for the community to learn more about Yakima County’s child advocate program and our work to protect children and reunite families of our community.: FRIDAY IS A SPECIAL DAY AT JUVENILE COURT HUNDREDS OF PINWHEELS WILL REPRESENT ABUSED CHILDREN IN YAKIMAĪ press release says each pinwheel represents a "child in the Yakima County Dependency system because of child abuse or neglect within our county." Association officials say the Yakima County Child Advocate/Guardian Ad Litem Program is a "beacon of hope for children in the dependency system. 389 pinwheels will be placed in the lawn in front of Yakima County Juvenile Court on Friday from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. THE HUNDREDS OF PINWHEELS WILL REPRESENT THE JOY OF CHILDRENĪssociation officials say the pinwheel represents playfulness, joy, and childhood.
